From a young age, I had a deep fascination with fine art, and Italy, with its rich artistic history, was always a place I dreamed of studying. In March 2024, that dream became a reality when I completed a two-week intensive course in academic painting at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art.This experience was nothing short of transformative.
The academy, renowned for its classical techniques and dedication to the traditions of fine art, provided me with invaluable skills and insights that will forever shape my work. Immersing myself in the heart of Florence, surrounded by the masterpieces of the Renaissance, reignited my passion for the fundamentals of drawing, shading, and composition.Tattooing, for me, has always been an extension of fine art. What I learned at the Florence Academy has deepened my understanding of form, anatomy, and color theory, all of which are crucial in my tattoo work.
Just as the old masters used the canvas to create timeless works, I apply these principles to the human body, ensuring that each tattoo is not just a design, but a piece of art that resonates with meaning and beauty.Studying in Florence was not only a personal achievement but also a key stepping stone in my artistic journey. I returned to tattooing with renewed energy, ready to bring the essence of classical fine art into the world of modern tattooing. The techniques and inspiration I gained from this experience have allowed me to push the boundaries of what tattoo art can be, blending the old with the new.I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and eager to continue applying these classical foundations to my future projects, ensuring that each tattoo is crafted with the same care and attention to detail as a traditional work of art.
